Preparing the Way for Jesus

Christmas is a time for bright colored lights and festive decorations. To drive around town and see the displays set out by neighbors and businesses is something many enjoy doing. Even taking time to bring out the boxes of Christmas decorations that have been stored away and then strategically place them about the house or yard can be exciting and fun for those who take the time to do so. Let those lights shine on the truth of Jesus coming into this world.

During this season, take time to see those lights and decorations as reminders of God breaking into our consciousness' with a splash of angel chorus' and visiting magi. May we remember that God gave His best to us when we were at our worst. This spirit of love and grace is one that has been implanted into all those who put their faith in him.

Sometimes we need to be reminded of the mighty God we serve and his immense love for us. When you see the bright lights of Christmas this year, remember the love made manifest to us through God's only begotten son. Remember Jesus and our pledge to live as he lived. Lives of grace and love. Hearts prepared to receive the coming King.
