Songs of Joy

"Those living far away fear your wonders; where morning dawns and evening fades you call forth songs of joy." Psalm 64:8

There is something about being able to sing that seems to set followers of Jesus apart. Worshiping with others on a regular basis allows us to open up our hearts and sing. We can sing with comfort songs that we have taken to heart even in our youth. We are blessed that way. Much of the world knows nothing of how to sing songs that enrich faith and deepen desire for God. We sing of things outside ourselves. It is in this that a great blessing is found. God sings over us (Zephaniah 3:17) and we sing over Him (he has blessed us with eyes to see his hands at work in our world).

God is good. His love endures forever. As believers in a great God we take Him into our hearts and open up our mouths and His loves flows out in shouts of joy!

"The LORD your God is with you, He is mighty to save.

He will take great delight in you, He will quiet you with His love,

He will rejoice over you with singing." Zephaniah 3:17
